About the role

A fantastic opportunity now exists for an enthusiastic and experienced Night Manager to join the team at the Grand Millennium Auckland. You will be responsible for the smooth running of the hotel during the night shifts (11pm – 7.30am) as per a roster which includes weekends.

Key responsibilities

  • Promote positive guest experiences by dealing with guests' enquiries throughout the night
  • Reviewing all daily sales transactions of front office and food and beverage outlets and recording any variances
  • Completing the hotels daily banking
  • Producing a number of revenue and tracking reports
  • Ensuring the security and safety of the hotel at all times
  • Managing hotel legal requirements
  • Manage hotel throughout the night

Key Skills & Attributes

  • Professional presentation and manner
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and concepts
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Good computer literacy and telephone skills
  • Experience of working in accounting or in a similar hotel front office role
  • Experience with Opera PMS preferred
  • Must have a full, clean NZ drivers' license
  • A current General Managers and First Aid certificate is advantageous
