About the role

Copthorne Hotel and Resort Bay of Islands are looking for a dynamic Food and Beverage Manager to lead their F& B team. You would be responsible for coordinating, supervising and directing all property food and beverage operations whilst maintaining a profitable Food and Beverage department, high quality products and service levels. You will be expected to market creative ideas to promote business; reduce employee turnover; maintain revenue and payroll budgets and meet budgeted productivity, whilst maintaining quality standards consistent with the brand.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure the strategic commercial growth of all Food & Beverage operations
  • Implement and maintain the highest levels of service and product
  • Provide strong leadership and guidance of all Food & Beverage team members, supervisors and managers by being actively involved in the day-to-day operation of the department
  • Ensure effectiveness of training, performance evaluations and counselling of staff to enhance performance
  • Maintain and supply accurate forecasting, reports and administrative systems and procedures as required
  • Liaise with Sales and Marketing on outlet promotions both internally and externally
  • Pricing and preparation of menus, beverages and wine lists
  • Demonstrating and awareness of OH&S policies
