About the role
Millennium Hotel Queenstown are looking for an enthusiastic and talented Sous Chef to join a busy and vibrant kitchen team. The focus is on excellent and memorable cuisine; couple with personalized and professional service.
Key Responsibilities:-
- Preparation and cooking food to the highest company standards to satisfy customers expectations
- Maintaining a clean, safe and tidy work environment at all times
- Motivating and inspiring kitchen staff with creative flair and ideas
- Communicating with and supporting staff in other departments
- Operation of the kitchen in the absence of the Executive Chef
- Ongoing training and development of all staff
- Ability to work roster shifts

Key Skills and Experience:-
- Previous hotel experience in a senior kitchen role
- Well developed team leadership skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- A planned and organised approach to your work
· Fully qualified with a la carte and banqueting kitchen experience.
· Understanding of Health and Safety
· Good organisational skills with a high level of presentation
· Strong understanding of COS
· Roster costing
