About the role

Are you a quick learner and experienced in using ‘Opera' software? If so, this could be the role for you! Grand Millennium Hotel Auckland is looking for an experienced and committed person to join our Reservations team. This position requires someone with enthusiasm and initiative to deliver exceptional service and perform the duties of the role with precision and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Timely and efficient communication with internal and external clients
  • Identify opportunities to ensure revenue is maximised via groups via multiple booking channels
  • Prepare and update various key revenue and tracking reports
  • Prepare and distribute proposal, proforma invoices and contracts relating to ad hoc groups
  • Group reservations to achieving highest Guest satisfaction
  • Responds to all guest group reservations requests & executes courteous, prompt and accurate service at all times
  • Following up on Group Status Checks
  • Understand and enforce company credit policies and ensure billing instructions, routing instructions and payment methods are applied to the reservations

Skills and Experience

  • Proven customer service experience in a reservations role
  • Proven experience in group reservations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a great telephone manner
  • A high level of computer literacy
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Self motivated and target driven
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience with Opera or similar system is preferred
