About the role

The Grand Millennium Auckland is looking for an enthusiastic and talented Demi Chef to join their vibrant kitchen team in a part time or casual role. You will be self-motivated, well organized and enjoy working in a fast paced environment. You will be responsible for the preparation and cooking of food to the highest company standards, whilst maintaining a clean, safe and tidy work environment at all times.

Key responsibilities

  • Preparation and cooking food to the highest company standards to satisfy customers expectations
  • Maintain a clean, safe and tidy work environment at all times
  • Communicate with and support staff in other departments
  • Ensure stock is controlled and rotated
  • Ongoing training and development of all staff
  • Ability to work roster shifts

Key Skills and Experience

  • Teppanyaki cooking skills are an advantage

  • An enthusiastic, dynamic team player with excellent customer service skills
